Proof That What You Are Seeing Is An Illusion

In the image on the left, squares A & B appear to be completely different shades of gray. But as you can see from the image on the right (which really is the exact same image as the one on the left – you can print it out to prove it to yourself), when the squares are joined by the two vertical gray stripes, you can see that squares A & B are actually exactly the same shade of gray.
